  Is it possible to add a count next to the add to favorites button, to display how many people have favourited it?

  There’s no such feature at the moment, but seems like a nice option for future updates. In the current version, this would require custom implementation.

  Just to put the request in context…i’m using add to favourites slightly different to it’s intended purpose – for other vendors to mark projects they’d like to collaborate on, so i’m trying to show on the frontend how many vendors are interested in collaborating.

  I found your previous response to this request about favourites being hidden comments in the db. I’ve hunted around for comment counter plugins and the best I found is simple blog stats. My coding skills are pretty basic, but I think sbs could work with some adaptation.

  What i’m wondering is, whether it would be better for my site for me to customise the sbs plugin to seek out the favourite hidden comments, or whether I should try to customise the favourite plugin with a c
  copy of the code from the sbs plugin?

  this would be interesting to have also and maybe organise Favorites as per the Category would be even better.

  @tandej – are you talking of simple blog stats – sbs – do send a link to see how you are using it

  @unitehearts – i’m trying to, yes. But it only has the function to show total comment count, not count per post, so needs further customisation.

  i’ve just found this article – http://zemalf.com/1292/wordpress-comments-number/
  which uses template tags and seems much simpler, I ‘m trying to see if I can make that work

  If you find a way to count comments of “hp_favorite” type for each listing (listing is a custom post type “hp_listing”) then it may work, you can also override the listing favorite link text and add a count there, but this requires customizations.
