  Is there a way to add a call to action button (with link to external URL) to a listing?

  If possible describe a use case for this, do you mean adding button to the listing description or displaying a button automatically based on the current listing attribute or URL?

  You can add HTML to the attribute format field, please try using this code:

  <a href="%value%" class="button">Button</a>
