Hi.
In Hivepress settings, I set the restriction for Offers to : ALL USERS
Then I open the plan, I can see checkboxes for:
– Messages Allow sending messages
– Reviews Allow submitting reviewsBut i cannot see the checkbox to allow Offers.
So users can not Make an Offer on the frontend.Did I miss something ?
Thanks for the support.
Thanks for reporting this, please let me know if there are any other specific membership settings or customizations? If it’s a bug we’ll release a quick fix for Memberships.
Aurelien 11 months, 3 weeks agoHi Ihor ,
Thanks for your quick response.
My current restrictions in Membership settings are restrictions for :Messages (optional) All Users
Reviews (optional) All Users
Offers (optional) All UsersBut no option to allow Offers in the plan.
Thanks for the fix.
Let me know if you need more info from me.Aurelien 11 months, 3 weeks agoI didn’t make any customisation.
Thanks, it seems to be a bug – we’ll release a quick fix for this within 1-2 days.
dmcollitt 11 months, 1 week agoYes this is happening to me too…no one can make an offer on my requests….
Aurelien 11 months, 1 week agoIhor, can you publish the fix?
We plan to release an update this weekend, but we couldn’t reproduce this issue, when we test this locally the Allow Offers checkbox appears in the plan settings (when the offers are restricted globally in settings). If possible send the steps for reproducing this issue and we’ll fix this in the weekend’s update.
dmcollitt 11 months, 1 week agoSigned in > opened request > clicked on “make an offer” > entered details > clicked on submit officer = error received as “only Assistants can make an offer” (I have named my buyers “Assistants”). The role I am using IS an “Assistant” role.
dmcollitt 11 months, 1 week agoInterestingly, my “seller” still received an email to say they received a request! So an error message is coming up for no reason apparently.
dmcollitt 11 months, 1 week agoI am wondering if it has to do with how I have my roles set up. I have 3 parties involved in my marketplace.
1. A seller who posts a request
2. A buyer who makes an offer
3. Myself – who takes a service fee (I put myself as a Vendor)Is this correct or should the person who makes the offer be the vendor?
Thank you
Yes, the person making an offer should be the vendor, in HivePress vendors are users with at least 1 listing (so users listing some services or goods), while regular users post requests (waiting for vendors to make offers).
dmcollitt 11 months, 1 week agoOk, with that in mind, how do I get my Vendors to complete the same sign up process as my users? I am using the Ultimate Member plugin too.
In HivePress, users and vendors have the same login/registration forms, but regular users become vendors after the first listing is added & approved, or if you enable direct vendor registration in HivePress settings users can also register as vendors via the “/register-vendor” URL.
dmcollitt 11 months, 1 week agoAh ok! Thank you 🙂
dmcollitt 11 months, 1 week agoWhat about if another user puts a request up…how will they be able to send an offer if they havent put up a listing yet?
If you don’t require vendors to have at least 1 listing you can also enable direct vendor registration, then users can register as vendors via the “/register-vendor” URL. For example, you can add this URL to the main menu and name it like “Become a Seller”, or “Start Selling”, etc. In HivePress vendors are users who offer something (e.g. services or goods) so they should have some listings, or at least a vendor profile (it’s registered automatically if there’s 1 listing, or if vendor is registered via the “/register-vendor” directly).
Hope this helps.Aurelien 10 months, 3 weeks agoHi.
So I go back to the original topic.
For me the situation hasn’t changed:In Membership restrictions :
– Messages (optional) All Users
– Reviews (optional) All Users
– Offers (optional) All UsersIn plans:
– Messages Allow sending messages
– Reviews Allow submitting reviewsThere is no option to allow Offers.
There is no special step, I go to Membership setting, I select All Users, I go to add a Plan or i Edit a Plan, there is no Offers options…
Do you want to connect to my wordpress ?
I can send you temp credentials by PM.Please send temporary WP access to support@hivepress.io and I’ll check this, we couldn’t reproduce this issue locally. If there’s a bug I’ll provide a temporary fix for your site until the next update is released.
