Hello Ihor, I have a need in the functioning of the web that I don’t know if it could be somehow configured or added some chain of html or css code.
1- User creates a request “example: I need to clean the garage at home”
2- receive offers from experts. Example an offer €80
3- Accept the proposal of an expert
4- The user is directed to a page that fills in data and pays.
HERE IS MY NEED.
I need that instead of paying the amount that the Expert priced €80, the user is charged only 10% of that amount (that is, €8) for paperwork. Because the user will pay the expert €80 in hand personally to him, when the expert finishes cleaning his garage.
Thank youaportodas 1 year agoSorry ihor, I’ll explain. I do this because if I charge 100% to the user, then I have to pay 90% to the expert. For this, the expert must make me an invoice because otherwise I cannot pay money without an invoice because it would be illegal.
So I have thought of charging only 10% but directly to the user (which is my commission) and thus I do not have to give money to anyone else. And the rest 90% paid by the user to the expert.
Thank you very much.aportodas 1 year agoAnother way that would also work for me is that when I accept the expert’s offer, it takes me to a separate and unique membership package (only that package or plan appears)
I have managed to achieve it by putting the membership/Plan tab in the pa and within this option in the “pages” box I put the option “to go to “finish purchase” but it stays in a loop there and even if you choose a payment plan it returns to always exit in “finish purchase”.
Is there anything I can make you think of ihor? even adding some html or css string?
Please help me otherwise I can’t get the web up and running.
Please.Hi,
There’s no such feature at the moment, but there may be a workaround – please check if WooCommerce allows adding a negative tax percentage, this way you can add a negative tax that will subtract a percentage from the purchase amount. This would probably require a few other customizations, like removing the vendor account balance and payout options since you charge customers for your website services, instead of sending earnings to vendors.
Hope this helps.aportodas 1 year agoThank you very much Ihor. But I don’t know how to do all that.
The truth is that I am stuck because I need to be able to solve it in some way to be able to get the web up and running. I appreciate your ideas.
I came up with the other way to try to solve it, which is perhaps easier and would be better for me, which is the one I was thinking of in this way:

I await your news.
Thanks a lot.Sorry, this would require customizations (assigning the membership plan ID instead of the request ID for accepting offers), and purchasing the membership plan wouldn’t create a new order between the buyer and the seller unless you manually create and manage a product for each request. Please check the WooCommerce docs to add a custom tax, this would be the easiest way (along with disabling payouts and account balance) https://woocommerce.com/document/setting-up-taxes-in-woocommerce/
aportodas 1 year agoOK!
I will do it.
Thank you, Ihor. And I turn off what you tell me. Payments and account balance?
Ok
Así lo haré
Gracias Ihor . Y como desactivo lo que me dices. Los pagos y el saldo de la cuenta?Yes, you can disable payouts in settings, also some CSS tweaks may be required to hide the vendor balance and other elements since you plan to receive 100% of the payment made for accepting an offer.
aportodas 1 year agoWhat configuration menu do I have to enter to disable payments?
CSS settings are very complicated and do I have to hire an expert or can I insert it myself with code snippets?
Thank you Ihor for the help you are giving me.You can disable payouts in HivePress/Settings/Payouts. Please go through all the settings in HivePress/Settings to make sure that everything is set up as required for your site. Unfortunately we can’t help with customizations beyond the available options, the support scope includes fixing bugs and general guidance about HivePress features, if code customizations are required please consider hiring a freelancer.
Mishoo 11 months, 2 weeks agoI was also looking for such a possibility, since it reduces costs and paperwork. Thank you Ihor for sharing the negative Tax option. Exceptional servicer here. Grand merci.
aportodas 11 months, 2 weeks agoHello ihor, / yevhen, can you help me how to check the balance of the user account.
I have already disabled payments. The only thing left for me is that it does not appear to charge the 10% commission to the user who buys the ad.Hello Mishoo, if you know how to configure the woocommerce to put the percentage of negative taxes, I appreciate you commenting on it here, because I am not capable.
Many thanks to this great team of people and professionals.

Mishoo 11 months, 2 weeks ago@aportodas I am working on a solution similar to your question. Mainly because of how to handle incoming cash that doesn’t belong to me. Haven’t implemented it yet. Will share once solved.
aportodas 11 months, 2 weeks agoThank you very much mishoo that is really what I am looking for too, to manage the cash that does not belong to me and that if I charge I have to bill it and therefore take responsibility for any incident that a third party may cause. That’s why the best solution is not to charge it and invoice only the commission.
A big hug and I wait for news here.——
Unfortunately there’s no such feature yet (charging a commission separately), if you charge it on the customer side it’s possible via WooCommerce taxes, or you can also disable payments completely and then check the completed bookings (e.g. once a month) and ask the vendor to pay the commission amount (or hide the listings if not paid).
Mishoo 11 months, 1 week ago@aportodas – I have almost solved my problem with a plugin named “Deposits & Partial Payments for WooCommerce”.
// Sidenote: I won’t touch the HivePress code because I want to have as little work as possible with updates. A plugin is the only solution for me. //
I have tested another Plugin named “Bayna – Deposits & Partial Payments for WooCommerce” but it did not work for some reason even though the feedback looks solid. Test for yourself.
“Deposits & Partial Payments for WooCommerce” worked right away. However you have to set your Taxes in Woocommerce correctly (Woocommerce > Settings > Taxes > select ” No, I will enter prices exclusive of tax” ) … especially if a customer orders more than one item. Taxes can still be added individually via product page.
Once installed, you can charge a “deposit” (or whatever you want to call it) based on a fixed price or percentage. The only part that needs testing is the second payment. In my case that would be to another party outside of my system. If your system doesn’t speak to a payment gateway that forwards info the tax office, then it’s easy> simply mark the second payment as completed or cancelled.
Hope this helps. Grateful for this forum. Thanks to @Ihor and team!
