    How come a whole theme does not come with a contact and a subscription form? How can I add contact and subscription forms to the theme.

    The search function on my installation are is also not working. How do I activate the functionality?

    What about Vendor commission? Anyway to implement that in the theme? Nothing of the sort in the theme.

    I look forward to a response soon.

    With kind regards

    Please make sure that you followed the docs to install TaskHive and import demo content https://hivepress.io/docs/themes/taskhive/ If you follow the screencasts step by step you’ll get the same functionality as on the demo site.

    In TaskHive marketplace features are implemented via the Marketplace extension (included to the theme package), please check the docs here https://hivepress.io/docs/extensions/marketplace/ There are screencasts showing how to set up commissions, payouts, etc.

    If possible send more details about the search issue and I’ll try to help. You can also send temporary WP access to support@hivepress.io and I’ll be able to check this on your site.

    I did everything! Imported demo as well. See above login details. You didn’t say anything about contact and subscription?

    Please never post credentials here, this forum is public, if possible send them to support@hivepress.io via email (also send a link to your site).

    TaskHive implements the marketplace functionality, if some additional functionality is required (like the contact form or email subscription form) please try using third-party plugins, for example this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/ and this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter/

    Please make sure that you sent temporary WP access via email to support@hivepress.io I checked the inbox and there’s no email with credentials yet.

    Thanks, I received the credentials and checked your site:

    1. The search issue occurred because the “Display categories” option was checked in HivePress settings, this option displays categories in instead of listings (if category is not selected). Please check if the search works now.

    2. Please set vendor commission rate in HivePress/Settings/Vendors section (it seems to be already set to 12%).

    Hi

    Thanks for the support.
    Could you let me know why the vendor hourly rate is always being captured in USD? How can this be overridden?

    The logo in the footer is looking funny. How can I adjust it with html code? check my page here http://www.hardlintech.com

    I await your reply!

    It’s a custom attribute that you can edit in Vendors/Attributes section, currently its display format is set to:

    $%value%

    Please try editing the display format and set a custom currency symbol. I couldn’t find a logo in the footer section https://prnt.sc/ubdmsc Please let me know if you already replaced it.

    Hi

    Thanks for your support.

    Is there a way I can limit the listing heading to a certain number of characters? I also would like to indicate in the title how the listing should begin (I will …) there is some uniformity in the listing headlines

    ihor developer

    It’s possible with a code snippet:

    add_filter(
    	'hivepress/v1/forms/listing_update',
    	function( $form ) {
    		$form['fields']['title']['max_length']  = 123;
    		$form['fields']['title']['description'] = 'custom description here';

    		return $form;
    	}
    );

    The title limit is set to 256 characters by default.

    Hello ihor.

    This is fantastic! Can I use the same code style for my own fields as well?

    For example, I have an attribute called ‘Vehicle Make’. If I wanted to limit that to a certain number of characters what would the code snippet look like?

    Many thanks.

    ihor developer

    You don’t have to add custom code snippets for listing attributes, if you edit any attribute there are settings to limit the number of characters, add a description, etc.

    Sorry ihor, forgive my stupidity. You are entirely correct.

    Many thanks!

    Hi ihor,

    the code snippets you shared recently does not function? The characters in the header does not change. I set it to only 29 but nothing happens. I am using the the plugin called Code Snippets. Which plugin works for you?

    add_filter(
    	'hivepress/v1/forms/listing_update',
    	function( $form ) {
    		$form['fields']['title']['max_length']  = 123;
    		$form['fields']['title']['description'] = 'custom description here';

    		return $form;
    	}
    );
    ihor developer

    This snippet should work fine for the listing edit form, it should limit the title to 123 characters and add a custom description. Please make sure that your site is not cached.

    smartcla

    What do you mean by a custom description? Can you recommend a Code Snippet Plugin?

    ihor developer

    Please use this one, this is the most popular and stable plugin for managing code snippets https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/ You can just try adding the snippet suggested above and check changes in the “Title” field (in the front-end listing edit form).

    Hi

    Could you help?

    I need to add explanations to the listing attributes. Users are getting confused who to write to their attributes. Do you you know how I can add explanation to the attributes in a form of a clickable question mar or hover to expand explanations?

    Thanks very much and I look forward to a response soon.

    With kind regards

    ihor developer

    Sure, if you edit an attribute there’s a “Description” field, but the description appears under the attribute title (it has a lighter text color though).
