Editing a listing’s page

I’d like to know how I can change the standard page for any created listing? I don’t see this page in Pages section. Do I have to edit the theme files?

This page is defined in the plugin’s code so in the current version this requires custom code snippets or CSS tweaks (depends on the required changes), but in the next version there will be an option to override it with a custom page designed in the WordPress block editor.

Thanks, and when is the new release planned?

    ihor developer

The next version should be released this week.

How will I know about the release?

    ihor developer

It’ll appear automatically in WordPress/Dashboard/Updates section.

Hello! I’ve mentioned that there is a new version of plugin but I still cannot find how I can change the listing’s page with blocks in WordPress editor, could you please help me?

    ihor developer

Sorry, it required more testing since it’s a major feature (the most recent update already implements 90% of it, but it’s hidden at the moment). This will be added to the next HivePress update, if it’s urgent please try using the code snippets suggested on the forum https://hivepress.io/support/search/templates%2Flisting_view_page/

Thank you! Yeah, it’s no problem, but may I ask you to tell apprx timing? It would help me to plan the future work on MVP

The next update should be available within 2-3 weeks max.

Hello! I’d like to ask how I can add a placeholder or subtitle to Location field on Adding listing page?

    AlexMoss89

There is an issue with creating the seller while standard registration process. It doesn’t appear in Sellers section

    AlexMoss89

And the listing is not created from user UI, only from the admin panel, please check https://special.simpo.online

Seems it’s ok with the last 2 comments. Could you please tell why chosen icons in listing’s attributes aren’t shown anywhere?

    AlexMoss89

Also, when you choose a category (for example, Курсы барберов here https://special.simpo.online/), you won’t see any listings until you click on Filter. Can it be loaded after choosing the category?

    ihor developer

    1. If you mean adding some description this requires a PHP snippet. Also, you can change the Location word with Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeOL8uh6jiM&ab_channel=HivePress

    2. Please make sure that you added the %icon% token to the attribute display format.

    3. If you mean instant filter there’s no such feature at the moment, users have to click on the Filter button after adjusting the search criteria.

Thanks for the answer. About 3rd point, I meant that after you choose the category, you won’t see anything until you click Filter, although you have just chosen the category and expect to see the content. Is that ok?

    ihor developer

Yes, if you mean the radio buttons in the search filter. The category grid (with images) should redirect users to the category page on click.

    AlexMoss89

It’s quite clear =D but why a user should click on Filter if he has just opened a category and expecting to see some listings? He doesn’t know that he needs to filter in addition. It will cause high bounce rate. Please, take a look at these screens:

If you mean that you have to click on the Filter button after you click on the category image then it seems to be a bug, it shouldn’t work this way. If possible send a link to your site (and/or temporary WP access) via email support@hivepress.io and I’ll check it.
