Editing home page

    Hi there,

I recently bough the Taskhive theme. Great piece of work. Its looks awesome and in the frontend it works awesome as well. I am trying to edit the homepage but it this point it becomes kind of a mess.

What editor should I use to be able to properly edit the elements on the homepage. Editing with the default new Gutenberg WordPress editor is almost impossible, the classic the same (frontend / backend). I also tried the WP-bakery page builder. This is working awesome for niet page I create. But editing the homepage is again impossible. Its shows that blocks are ‘corrupt’ or you’re not able to edit all the details of the blocks at all.

I am sure more people bumped into this. But I havent found information yet. Hope someone can help me out.

    Kind Regards,

    Thanks, glad you like it!

I highly recommend using Gutenberg, this is the most lightweight solution since it’s a native WP page builder, also TaskHive has block styles for this editor so you’ll see the same layout and styles on the front-end. You can use some third-party plugins to add more blocks, e.g. https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-addons-for-gutenberg/ You can also try third-party page builders like WPBakery or Elementor, but you’ll have to use shortcodes instead of blocks and third-party builders may affect the performance.

Hi, sorry re-opening this thread but instead of opening a new one I thought it probably makes more sense asking here 🙂

I love the theme also, but right now I am having the same issues as Krebbr and unfortunately your answer didn’t really helped me any further.

I try to edit the homepage with Gutenberg, when I do I have these issues:

    – cannot find “the guy relaxing in the chair” so no idea how to change this?

    – with the blocks from “Find a Freelancer | Check the Reviews | Pay with Confidence” there is a notification that “This block contains unexpected or invalid content”
This same error is also with the blocks at the bottom (I Need a Task done | I am a Freelancer )

    Hi,

    1. It’s the page featured image, please try changing it in the right sidebar while you edit the Home page.

    2. It seems that some block settings changed in the latest WordPress update, please try clicking the “Attempt block recovery” button and it should be ok.
