Editing vendor’s profile

    Hi, firstly I’d like to say that your work is absolutely amazing! I made a freelancers service that I am proud of! It could even stay as it is at the moment, but there are two things that I’d like to improv. If it’s possible that would be great, so I’ll ask. Can you tell me:

    1. How to add a nickname to the registration form (as you have)?

    2. Is it possible to edit a vendor profile using Gutenberg or Elementor blocks? I would like to include in the description e.g. social media icons with links. Now there’s only classic editor and I don’t know how to do it.

    Thanks in advance for every hint (and sorry for my English ;))

    Thanks for the kind words! If you haven’t already please rate HivePress on WP.org https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/hivepress/reviews/ This really helps to continue the development.

    1. Please un-check the “Generate username…” option in HivePress/Settings/Users/Registration section.

    2. There’s no such option yet, but I plan to release the Social Links extension in 2 weeks. You can also customize any page via HivePress API if you’re familiar with PHP and HTML.

    Adding “Placeholders” on “Vendor Registration Form” fields

    Hello Ihor,

    I have a question related to this topic: https://hivepress.io/support/topic/editing-vendors-profile/
    As per your suggestion – When I un-check the “Generate username…” option in HivePress/Settings/Users/Registration section.

    Add new test user to check – I found the ‘username’ field in the registration form. This ‘username’ field is also shown as vendor name in the vendor search main page which I have created and which I want to keep.

    However, I want to add a placeholder (on top of username text box in the registration form) to tell the new vendors to enter their business name in the username field. Is it possible?

    Thanks for your continued support!

    I would also like to know if we can add a button as “clear filter” on search listing page and vendor search page. As this is an important field to add. The users or audiences never know how to roll back to the original search page content after applying search filters. Please advice!

    1. You can try using this code snippet:

    	function( $form ) {
    		if ( isset( $form['fields']['username'] ) ) {
    			$form['fields']['username']['description'] = 'custom description here';
    			$form['fields']['username']['placeholder'] = 'custom placeholder here';
    		return $form;

    2. There’s no such option yet, but this feature is on the roadmap.
