  The email verification is coming through as spam and is taking up to 20 mins to send to new users is there a way I can make it instant so when they sign up the verification email goes to their account straight away?

  This is related to your WordPress installation and settings (HivePress itself doesn’t implement sending emails), please try using this plugin to set up SMTP or link your site with some trusted email service provider (so emails will not be filtered as spam) https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/
