Filter results based on attributes in a page

    Hi Igor,

Thank you very much for this wonderful plugin. Wish you all the best in the world.

I would like to make some pages based on cities (eg :, I have 10+ cities where I will showcase some featured ads and all the categories for the particular city.

Is there any way I can show the search results in the page of a city where we can filter the results based on the attribute “city” where the entry is the particular city (eg : “new york”).

I know I can find the results by the search query (eg :, but I would like to do it by the pages, so that I can optimize the SEO better. Is there any shortcode where I can pass the arguments?

    Thanks again.

    Thanks for the kind words!

There’s no such feature at the moment, the only way is using the search result URLs. I plan to add “regions” feature (as a part of Geolocation or a separate extension) that would automatically create different pages for regions (e.g. cities), similar to category pages. If you’re familiar with PHP you can try implementing this, but this requires advanced customizations.

Very great plugin really but needs this type more features.

Thanks Ihor, for your reply. I will look into customizing the search page template for now and will look into how I can create php page templates for cities to include categories where the visitors can click the categories and it will return the city’s results automatically.

    Hello Ihor,
Loving your plugin and theme, but I too would welcome the ability to have a completely separate category for Location similar to the Categories type… I have a number of listings that operate in one part of the world but have their registered office in a completely different place… so the geolocation doesn’t work properly for these listings. Users need to be able to search where the listings re operating, and it may be in more than one location…
If I add two different category types, then when vendors come to add a listing, they can only choose one…?
    Thanks for considering the problem:

Thanks! You can already search listings by any location, or you mean the ability to set multiple locations for a single listing? I’m working on the Regions extension that will allow viewing listings by cities (or other regions) via category-like pages.

Perfect, I’m looking forward to that 🙂 Any idea of time frame?
