Filtering by name, capcha and searching by attributes

    Hi once again 🙂 I’m back. I have 3 more problems:

    1. Filtering by name – I think there there may be a bug. When I choose filter by name, the selected values pop in in the search boxes and it does not filter by name, but by these values.

    2. When I use a search engine to find a vendor by attributes, the default CSS settings return in the results – eg. font size. Can I do something to change it?

    3. I have a problem with captcha. I’ve pasted key and secret key generated in captcha admin site (and it wasn’t the first time I did it), but there is a message “Information for website owner – we detected ERROR: invalid key type” 🙁 Do you know what could be causing the problem?

    PS The same problem as I said in point 1 is with filtering listings by price.

    1, 2. Sorry, but I can’t quite understand these issues, what do you mean about filtering by name (some custom attribute or keyword search?) and font size in the search results?

    3. Please make sure that you selected version 2 for the generated reCaptcha keys (not 3).

    1. I meant “sort by name” in vendors catalog and “sort by price” in listings catalog.

    2. Doesn’t matter.

    3. It was captcha v. 3 – I’ll check with v. 2 (thanks!)

    About sorting: it’s sth like in this topic: https://hivepress.io/support/topic/trying-to-order-results-by-price-as-an-example-brings-up-some-unwanted-filters/ BUT the results are shown not with old filters but with the first one from every attribute. I’ve check in 2 browsers – the same bug 🙁 I don’t have any cache plugin. What can it be?

    Could you please send a step-by-step instruction with the expected result and a link to this page? I’ll be able to check it and provide a solution.

    This is my page – freelancers catalog: https://bit.ly/2E42mMt Try to sort freelancers by name (in
    upper right corner). What happens? Certain attributes appear in the search engine, the first of each attribute, and instead of a result with alphabetically sorted freelancers, we have a search result according to the selected attributes. Let’s try.

    This is strange, it only occurs with multiple selection attributes. Added this to the bug tracker, you can disable this sorting option until this is fixed with this code snippet:

    add_filter(
    	'hivepress/v1/forms/listing_sort',
    	function( $form ) {
    		unset( $form['fields']['_sort']['options']['title'] );

    		return $form;
    	}
    );

    add_filter(
    	'hivepress/v1/forms/vendor_sort',
    	function( $form ) {
    		unset( $form['fields']['_sort']['options']['title'] );

    		return $form;
    	}
    );

    OK, done. But the same problem is with sorting listing by price. Look: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/1001075?key=f21e59c49a5b143cfd08081f62334f0d

    And the same problem is with sorting listings by rating also 🙁

    Please try changing the attribute type to “Checkboxes” and check if this issue persists. I guess it occurs with the multiple “Select” attributes only, I added this to the bug tracker so it will be fixed.

    I’ve changed vendors attributes for a moment and checked sorting by name. Looks good (although checkboxes don’t look good – there is a looot of them), it works.
    For now it’s OK, but I’ll be waiting for the bug fix.

    Hi, Ihor,
    I have some new problems 🙁

    1. I set up user accounts and gave them access. It turned out they can’t edit anything. If they change anything in the description or in their data, their photo disappear, the link to the profile changes. When you choose the options in the list of choice, it tells you that the options are saved, but after refreshing the page it turns that it didn’t save.

    2. What about sorting by price and by name in the pick list? There was a problem with that – instead of sorting, the plug-in chose parameters and looked for them – I wrote about it above. Do you know when you will fix it? Can you tell me how to hide this sort by price function meanwhile?

    3. In the Hive Press settings there is only “introduce by name”, and how to make it appear by first name and surname? After the user edits the account, nothing can be done to select show as name and surname again in the user list. I have to set up people’s accounts over and over again.

    Thanks for helping me!

    1. Please let me know how to reproduce this issue, you can also send temporary WP access to support@hivepress.io if it’s not possible to become a vendor without approval (e.g. if listing moderation is enabled on your site).

    2. As noted above, this bug is added to the bug tracker and will be fixed in the next update.

    3. It’s possible to choose the username or first name, there’s no full name option at the moment because showing the full name on the front-end seems to be against GDPR, it’s personal information. I checked the most popular listing/classifieds sites like OLX and they display the first name only.

    ihor developer

    Sorry, I checked the theme again and you can display full name for vendors, if you set the user display name to “Full Name” in HivePress/Settings/Users/Display section and vendor display name to “User Name”.

    Thank you. I send you e-mail as you asked in previous reply.

    The sorting issue is now fixed in the latest update.
