Listings RSS Feed
Sharne from Hi5 1 week, 3 days ago
So I’m trying to set up an automated weekly mailer to update our jobseekers each week of new listings.
I’m looking to do this via Mailchimp. I’ve found the RSS feed in the Page Source, but Mailchimp is not recognising it as valid: https://getremote.co.za/listing/feed/
Do you know why and can you help me out please? Is there another way to do this that I don’t know about (maybe via a plugin)?

Please try using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpfeedforcustomposttype/ It adds RSS feeds for custom post types (listings have “hp_listing” type).
Thanks so much I really appreciate the help!

Please check the plugin docs or ask on their support forum, maybe it registers a custom RSS URL for each custom post type.Sharne from Hi5 6 days, 15 hours ago
Thanks Ihor, will do 🙂
Have a great day – and p.s. you’re doing an amazing job!Sharne from Hi5 6 days, 13 hours ago
Their customer support got back to me with the following:
“our plugin has no relation with rss validation, you can check by disable our plugin”
In other words it sounds like it’s theme-related?
Because Mailchimp says getremote.co.za/feed is not validated, and according to WordPress this should be automatic as they generate this RSS for every WP site?ihor 6 days, 3 hours ago developer
I tested this plugin locally and it worked, for some reason the feed URLs on your site redirect to the login page instead of displaying XML data https://getremote.co.za/feed/ Maybe there’s a page with the “feed” slug or other restrictions? You can try disabling third-party plugins and refreshing permalinks.Sharne from Hi5 5 days, 14 hours ago
Thanks for checking it out. After digging through the settings on my third-party plugins I found the culprit: I had set Ultimate Member to redirect to Login page.
So all I needed to do is exclude /feed/ from the list of redirects!
I hope this thread helps someone else with a similar issue. Thanks Ihor!
