is it possible to see private messages-comment content in the PHP Admin between users? I can see only mine, not from other users. I could see them before the last hivepress plugin had been updated.
You can view any messages if you mean using PHPMyAdmin, the wp_comments table contains all the entries from your site (including regular comments, reviews, messages etc.). You can also try making messages visible in WP dashboard using a snippet from this topic https://hivepress.io/support/topic/cc-message-to-admin/#post-7312
Yes, but some fields are empty…users sent empty messages or what?
There should be no comments of “hp_message” type without a text, HivePress wouldn’t validate such messages. Maybe these are other comment types, like “hp_favorite”? These may be empty because they just link users with listings (this is how favorites are stored).
No. These are hp_message types.
This is strange, if you can reproduce empty messages issue via the front-end (e.g. add an empty message record to wp_comments) please send details for reproducing it and I’ll fix it. I checked the Messages extension code again and it has the “required” property set for the message text field, so it should not allow any empty messages.
I tested it. I sent an empty message twice. The first message was recorded as an empty message. The second one was not recorded at all.
I have disabled “Allow file attachments”, tested and it seams that it is ok now. I will wait a few days to see what will happen.Jeca 1 month, 3 weeks ago
