is it possible to have expiry to the package as well?
Listing expiry works fine but need to include package expiry for each packageAlso i have a package with unlimited listing allowed, but there isn’t option to select this
There’s no such option at the moment, packages are removed only if the listing limit is exceeded. Please set some big number like 1000000, then you can describe it as unlimited.
gsmobina 2 years, 6 months agoi want a plan expiry. If i use the Memebership plugin, can i do something like this? how about custom coding? how much will it cost to custom code this? the thing i am so happy with your theme and plugin coz it has all the features that we were looking for and believe me i looked everywhere and tried several. so hoping i get a solution.
I understand, but there’s no such feature at the moment, plans can be only exceeded, not expired. The Memberships extension has a different purpose, it hides listing details on the front-end and reveals them after the payment.
ianantwalks 2 years, 5 months ago@ihor, I am also interested in package expiry.
Currently, with what Hivepress can do, what’s the closest I can do to create a free package where a user who signs up can only post 5 ads per month? Is there any way I can cheat to achieve it?
Many thanks.
This feature is on the roadmap, you can try using listing expiration until it’s added. For example, set a custom expiration for the free package, e.g. allow adding 5 listings that will expire in 30 days.
gsmobina 2 years, 5 months ago@ihor isn’t Membership extension has this feature? i am using this extension, and under plans, there is an option for expiration. so i am using listing expiration set in Paid listing extension package option and plan expiration though Membership expiry. Seems like that is working for me. for both i am using the same woocommerce product so both gets activated.
Yes, the Memberships extension has this feature (to limit access to viewing listing details in time), but the Paid Listings doesn’t because it limits the number of listing submissions.
ianantwalks 2 years, 5 months ago@ihor, thanks for replying.
I set the listing limit to 5 and the listing expiration to 30.
Does that mean that a user can sign up, post 5 listings, and when they expire, they can renew them, but, if they want to post another 5, they would have to sign up again using a different email address?
Is that correct?
Many thanks.
They’ll have to select another package because the free one will be exceeded, this is required for both submissions and renewals. The package itself doesn’t expire, this means that the user can buy a package, wait for a year and then add 5 listings that will expire in 30 days after publishing.
ianantwalks 2 years, 5 months agoIf I only have one package to start with, the free one mentioned, what would you recommend?
Regards.
This will not work unfortunately, this extension is developed for monetizing listing submissions so it works only if you have at least 2 packages (the free and the paid one), otherwise when the free one expires users will not be able to select another one (the free one will be blocked once expired).
