Parallax Images & Marketplace Extension

Thanks for all your help so far! I have got a couple of more questions:

    1. How do I change 3 parallax images to one big static image in the background?

    2. After exchange message with the vendor, how does a customer hire a vendor. I do not see a button in customer’s account that prompts them to hire a specific vendor and start the payment process. FYI – I am trying to do this through Marketplace extension along with Woocommerce.

    Thanks!

In the second question I meant I do not get “Buy Now” button. How do I get it?

    Hi,

    1. Please disable these parallax images in Appearance/Customize/Header section. Then you can add any custom content (e.g. image) to the header area, but if you mean setting a custom full-size background image for the header section this requires some CSS tweaks.

    2. In ExpertHive the Marketplace extension is not installed by default (it’s just included in the purchase email), please make sure that it’s installed and activated (along with WooCommerce). Then if you re-save some listing (and set some price for it) the Buy Now button should appear. You can also enable private requests in HivePress/Settings/Requests, then users will be able to send custom requests via the vendor pages, while vendors will be able to make an offer.

    Hope this helps.

I see the “Buy Now Button” after I set the price. I am not sure I understand the price and rate/hr difference. Do I have to set price for every listing before buy now button appears?

Also, could you give me css tweak as it seems like a recurring question here? People would want to personalize their websites so no two websites look alike.

Finally, it seems that the changes made to website do not appear on microsoft edge for at least a few hours later. Is this a known issue? Is there a way I can see changes appearing both in Chrome and MS Edge at the same time?

    Thanks for your help!

    1. The Hourly Rate attribute is just a custom attribute imported from the demo content, please consider removing it and using the Price field instead (we added the Hourly Rate to the demo content because it has no Marketplace enabled by default).

    2. You can try this one:

    .header-hero--large {background:url(image URL here) center center no-repeat; background-size:cover}

But it may require further CSS changes (for example, for inverting the header content colors). Like with any theme, there are some design/layout limits, for example we have a theme with the full header background https://jobhive.hivepress.io/ and someone needs a header like in ExpertHive, this would also require some CSS tweaks.

    3. Please check if there are any caching plugins enabled, if not then any changes you make shouldn’t depend on the browser.

Also trying to replace the parallax images on the home page, but the default options aren’t there. If I go to Appearance > Customize, there is no “Header” option. I’d really like to replace those images / section.

Seems like it would make more sense to remove it and add content to page of the page itself rather than being embedded here, since it is only displayed on this single page?

Sorry, it seems to be in the Appearance/Customize/Homepage instead.

    Hi Ihor,

Still no way to remove or change these images. Any ideas?

Please make sure that the “Display header images” option is unchecked, then the images will be hidden (unless the home page is cached) https://prnt.sc/26myfco
