    Hi,
I would like to add a register form on my website but the register form leads people to the login form instead. I have used the Experthive block for register but Register is not what people see at the front end of the website. Is this a bug? I am receiving complaints about this. Please kindly help me fix this issue. https://alphagold.africa

    Thank you,
    Kind regards
    Caroline

    Hi,
If you added the Registration Form block then it’s the registration form, but it generates usernames based on the email address by default, so it may look like a login form (it also contains only the email address and password fields). You can add a separate username field in HivePress/Settings/Users/Registration section (by disabling auto-generation of usernames).

    Hi Ihor,
…but where do vendors register. I have a problem on the vendor side. The experts cannot be registered. They are being registered as subscribers and not contributors/vendors. There is a problem here. Please help.

    Thank you,
    Kind regards

Users become vendors during the listing submission process, the “Complete Profile” is one of the steps to list a service. If you allowed direct vendor registration (without listings) via the settings, please add a “/register-vendor” link to the main menu in Appearance/Menus section, then those users who want to become an expert will be able to register via this link (you can name it like “Become an Expert”).

Thank you Ihor. Very much appreciated.

These are the steps to register a user:
    1. Click on register
    2. Verify your account in email
    3. Click on become an expert. Complete the form
    4. 5. Click on service package to list a service
    5. All done

Yes, also if you require listing something in order to become an expert then the expert registration will be one of the steps in the “List a Service” process, so users can click “List a Service” and skip the “Become an Expert” link if required.
