  I have a listing of companies that supply products. When a visitor does a Search, I’d like to give the option to send a mail to all companies (vendors) that match the results of that search.
  With ‘Search Alerts’ extension the user can save the results of the search: is it possible to add the functionality to send an email to the owners (vendors) of the listings that match the result?

  This would probably require a custom implementation, Search Alerts work vice versa (by notifying the user instead) and unfortunately there’s no simple code snippet for implementing this.
