Search Bar Issue

    Hi,
    There seems to be an issue with the search bar, when selecting a category on half the text is showing. I uploaded the test data so I havent created this page. It’s happening on all my search bars throughout the site.

    The text is half hidden.

    @Cindabella, I am interested on how you manage to put a dropdown menu on search bar. I want to implement that on my project website can you share it to me if it is okay?

    all you need to do is add more than one category. Then head to HivePress > Settings > Search > add category as a default field.

    @tvsdev sorry but it works for me. Not sure why it’s showing this error. Hopefully @ihor will know.

    @Cindabella, yeah hope so coz i am in the middle of hell of fire figuring it out atm.

    @tvsdev Try removing the fields and see if your site works.
    HivePress > Settings > Search > remove category as a default field.

    Could be something else upsetting your site as I don’t see how this could.

    @Cindabella There’s no ETA for it at the moment, if you send a link to your site I can check if there’s a temporary CSS fix for this.

    Seems to be ok when I check it in Chrome https://prnt.sc/10z76ds Please let me know if there’s some specific browser.

    @ihor initially it’s ok when you first click on the dropdown but when you select the category that’s when the trouble starts. I’m using Chrome too.

    Seems to be ok even after selecting a category, please try to logout and check this issue again, maybe it occurs for logged-in users only (when there’s the admin toolbar), or with some specific category selected.

    @ihor – so sorry for wasting your time, you’re right it’s a logged in issue.
