Settings for search

When I type in say shoes or boots in where it says keywords in the search and click search it does not go to the category or listings.

I have categories set up for both shoes & boots and both have listings.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The “keywords” field searches only listing titles and descriptions (this is a WordPress limitation), you can try using this plugin to include categories and attributes https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-extended-search/

Please note that you have “Display categories” option checked in HivePress/Settings/Listings/Display section, so users are forced to select a category before viewing search results (categories are displayed instead of listings if there’s no category selected).

Thank you for your reply Ihor and the note regarding categories. I have unchecked the display categories and now the search seems to work.
