There is something corrupt in my xml file that I backed up

Before I restored my site I exported an xml of my site – I tried several ways to restore but every time the bug is back.

In my Hp_listings there is some issue, So I restored only my pages but the bug is back.

In the price field it looks as if there is a , – so I went through all my prices and made sure they are only numbers. There are other random errors like I had all my attributes hidden for non members but they are all visible now and I can not hide them. Also if a customer clicks on purchase they are re routed to the home page. I have tried to optimize the DB and cleaned out any issues, i cleaned the cache.

I have no restore point without the bug.

Also what application do you use to bulk upload listings and connect them to vendors? I have tried WPsheeteditor, WP import All, Admin columns – I linked the post_parent to the listing but still does not work.

    Hi,

If you want to backup the database the best way is to export the whole SQL file, or even create a full backup with media files. You can use a plugin like this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/ The exported XML file lacks some data, for example it will not re-import user details like names and profile descriptions.

If you use some advanced import plugin to assign listings to vendors please make sure that you set post_parent to vendor IDs for listings, and each vendor should have a separate user ID (in post_author field).

Ihor where have you been? I am dying here please recommend me someone to fix the current issue I am launching soon. Please respond to my emails I still have support don’t I?

What advanced import plug-in do you recommend?

Is it possible to just completely erase hp_listings and restart without losing all my other data?

Please list the detailed issues (you can also send these details via email) and I’ll try to resolve them one by one. I recommend creating a backup of your site (or even set up automatic backups), if there’s something wrong after you imported or updated listings in bulk you can roll back to the previous backup.

You can try using WP All Import plugin, it seems to be the most popular one.
